2017-18 Peter Davis

Arriving as a fresh faced Pharmacist to Caloundra in 1987, Peter began his career as firstly a manager, then owner of the Caloundra Day and Night Pharmacy in Bulcock Street, where Shannon Shoes now operates from.
 
On 30 April 2007 (10 years ago), he sold the Pharmacy, and has since worked as an employee Pharmacist for the current owners, Star Discount Chemist.
 
Peter married a local Caloundra girl, Narelle Case, in 1989 and together they have raised three children to now be adults. Blake, Kimberley and Sheridan, now all living on the coast and Blake and his wife have produced the first grandchild for the family, one year old, Edward Peter.
 
Diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder prior to arriving in Caloundra, Peter has battled the disorder over the years.  In 2012 Peter initiated the Bipolar Support Group of the Sunshine Coast. Five years later the Support Group is still going strong with membership approaching 300.
 
Peter has found, by performing his voluntary work with people suffering Mental Illness, not only has helped those he spends time with, but has improved his own health as well.
 
Mental Health is Peter's passion and he particularly enjoys that arm of the Rotary Health sector. 
 
Despite Peter's relatively short period as a Rotarian, he is looking forward to the role of President for 2017-18.  Buoyed by the knowledge that he has a strong team behind him who are always available for support if needed.
