Tegan's talk was a wake up call to our membership
and corrected a lot of the misconceptions around the physical and technological aspects of hearing loss and its treatment

President Elect Peter gave the President's address
fortunately Peter also emailed his address so here it is in full:

This morning we had another successful Breakfast Meeting. After what looked like only a small turnout, with a couple of people arriving just before the Sargent's bell, our numbers were very encouraging.

We were privileged to have a visitor this morning. A very warm welcome to Greg McRae. Greg discovered our Club as a result of our Website, and decided to come along. He even went to coffee afterwards. A big thanks goes to Les for his work in producing such a fantastic Website, the results are already evident. Please continue to make Greg feel welcome as he discovers what our Club has to offer.

Instead of "death by powerpoint", our Guest Speaker, Teagan Keogh presented a fascinating speech about Hearing Loss and What Can Be Done To Help. We all now know the difference between an Audiologist and an Audiometrist. Despite Iain's continual remarks that he can hear everyone but his wife, Teagan still offered Iain a test, just to make sure. Teagan also came to coffee afterwards.

We've all received an email containing an invoice for our fees for Membership in the coming year. I'd like to invite you all to continue with your Membership. I know for some of you, the commitment can be a strain with your careers and family. However, in my year, I plan on doing some variations to our meetings that hopefully will suit those of us that have difficulty attending the Breakfast Meetings, regularly. Watch this space for more information.

A reminder, our ChangeOver Dinner is getting closer all the time (I can hear Darryl saying, "Obviously"), so please, RSVP to Deb ASAP. Deb and the ladies who are organising the night are doing a splendid job, so please make the effort and dress up and come along. How about bringing a future Rotarian.

Judy, Anne R and myself will be attending our District ChangeOver Dinner in Chermside on Saturday night.

There won't be a meeting next week, due to ChangeOver and the following week will be Club Forum. This is your chance to make suggestions and provide ideas that make our Club even better.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the ChangeOver Dinner.
So really not much for me to do except add some photos
Helen chaired the meeting

We wish you all the best back in Melbourne Pauline

and it's a Sergeant's Session Deborah, not a symphony orchestra
