My second time as a member of the Rotary Club of Caloundra
I rejoined Rotary in early 2016 as a result of chance meeting with then President Judy Clarke and Treasurer Deb Taylor. I was attending the Presentation Night for Caloundra State High School in October 2015 when I was seated beside Judy and Deb. They both knew me professionally and casually said to me "You should join the Rotary Club of Caloundra". I agreed and was inducted on the same day as President Elect Peter Davis. That's how easy it was to find a new member - me.
James Condon
I first joined Rotary in 1972. My first appointment as a Salvation Army officer was to Tenterfield in NSW. I lived next door to Ian Clement, a local jeweller who was also the President of Rotary and he invited me to join. That's 45 years ago. I have now belonged to 14 Clubs in 3 countries during my 45 years in Rotary. I have been President of two clubs - East Sydney and Double Bay. I enjoy the fellowship of Rotary and a highlight of the weekly meetings for me has been the guest speakers and I find myself being educated in an interesting range of topics.
