Katie Brown is the Community Services Manager for Sundale Limited.  She will be our guest speaker on Tuesday (19 September), presenting on the topic 'Aged Care Systems & Services'.

Sundale is the largest not-for-profit aged care service provider (with no church affiliation).  It was established in the 1960’s by Rotary and are Sunshine Coast born and bred, with our head office in Nambour.

In 2015, the Government introduced a range of aged care reforms and these changes continue with new rules being added into the mix every six months or so.  Sundale's experience when working with people over 65 years of age is that they are more confused than ever and many do not understand the system, the funding, what’s available in the community, and when is the right time to get help.
Since January 2016, Katie has been the Community Services Manager for Sundale where she is responsible for it's Concierge Service, Home Care, Allied Health & Rehabilitation Services.  The role is diverse and challenging but exactly what I am meant to be doing.  She loves working with elders and making sure they have what they need, understand the system and get the best possible support available.
