Sunshine Coast Rotary Clubs (from Caloundra, Caloundra Pacific, Glasshouse Mountains, and Kawana Waters) presented the final RYDA Road Safety Education course for the year on Wednesday, 11 October to students from Sienna Catholic College using the Caloundra Turf Club facilities at Corbould Park Racecourse.  These 16-18 year old students are approaching that crucial time in their lives where they start to drive independently or are travelling as passengers of novice drivers.

Our Neville Woodforth is the RYDA coordinator for Rotary District 9600.  At our recent weekly meeting, he noted that  8,100 Sunshine Coast High School students from 12 schools attended the RYDA road safety education course in 2017.  The RYDA program is supplied by Road Safety Education and delivered by Rotary Clubs throughout Australia & New Zealand.  In Rotary District 9600, there are five fully-funded venues and two others.
