President's Report
Monday night 10 July was the first of our Board Meetings for the new Rotary Year. With some lively discussion, and a lengthy agenda, the evening was very productive and we managed to run, almost on time.

You would have read in my Address at Changeover that I am a firm believer in transparency. As such, the minutes from the Board Meeting, when collated by our Secretary, will be published on the Club Website for all Members to see.

I believe every Club Member should know what’s going on in the Club. I’d also like to remind you that ALL Club Members are invited to attend our Board Meetings. It is a great way to increase your knowledge of Rotary and become more involved in the running of the Club.

Our Breakfast Meeting on Tuesday 11 July, saw the induction of our newest Club Member, Neville Woodforth.

Neville is a transferring Member from the Caloundra Pacific Club. He brings with him a wealth of experience in Rotary and has been heavily involved in Youth Programs in the past.

As part of my Changeover Address, I also mentioned the importance of Membership. This includes both Member retention and recruiting new Members. With this in mind, I’d ask all Members of our Club to extend the hand of Rotary Fellowship to Neville and make him feel very welcome at our Club.

A new President's Forum
Our meeting on Tuesday, 11 July had 26 members in attendance.  President Peter chaired the meeting.

International Toast

Past District Governor (PDG) Alan Still proposed the International Toast to the Rotary Club of Chicago, Rotary's original and first club.

New Member Induction

Neville Woodforth is of course well known to most members due to his involvement with RYDA (Rotary Youth Driver Awareness) and as a former member of our daughter club, the Rotary Club of Caloundra Pacific.

President Peter made him especially welcome as he inducted him as a member of the Rotary Club of Caloundra.

Welcome Neville!  We look forward to your contribution to our club.

The Year Ahead
President Peter's address to the Club Changeover upon his induction as President of the Rotary Club of Caloundra:

Good evening everyone, with special mention to, District Govenor, John Lane. State Member for Caloundra, Mark McArdle, and wife, Judy. Carolyn Krueger, President Sunshine Coast Central RC, David Mares, President Mooloolaba RC, PAG Gordon Watson, invited guests and fellow Rotarians. And a special welcome to our two Paul Harris Fellows.

I’d like to thank you all for coming tonight and sharing in the celebrations of the Rotary Club of Caloundra’s 2017/18 ChangeOver.

At this time I’d like to recognize some special people in my life that have supported me in many ways, to enable me to be where I am today.

Firstly, my wife Narelle, who has not only been a wonderful and encouraging partner to myself, but also a fantastic role model to our three children, Blake, Kimberley and Sheridan, who, I am proud to say, are all here tonight. Unfortunately their partners have other commitments, as does our Grandson, and can’t be here. We are very proud of our family and what our children have achieved and to have them all here tonight, along with my wife, is very special to me.
