The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) aims to provide young people with the opportunity to develop their potential and self-esteem, provide experiences that will assist them to form their own values and moral standards, and to broaden their cultural, social and academic horizons. The program pushes students to develop their leadership skills so that they can excel in their field. Students sponsored to RYPEN are considered to have leadership potential and other positive personal attributes, and to be community-minded and actively involved in the community or who demonstrate the potential for involvement in community programs. This year RYPEN was held 12-14 August. The Rotary Club of Caloundra sponsored Harley Morse to attend RYPEN. Harley will be telling us of her experience over the RYPEN weekend. |
