Fortunately - as the appointed Chair Heidi was gallivanting elsewhere - our Elder Statesman volunteered to keep us (and participants) under control and so he did as these photos show!
Guests were welcomed - Sue Perriman (her last visit before returning home to Victoria - but she will be back!), Pam's son Charles, and Roger's better half, Sally.
 
Alan proposed our International Toast to the Rotary Club of Singapore and then invited Gerry to present - on BBQ matters.
 
Helen Fox was invited to tell us of her life in three minutes, so just as well she found that bit of ancient paper in her archives.
 
President Elect Bernie reported on the District Training Assembly held last Sunday.
 
Gerry returned to introduce our Guest Speaker, Dr John Arvier OAM who is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with a special interest in maxillofacial trauma.  The tongue twisters presented an extra special challenge but Gerry did magnificently.  There is more about John here.
 
John is a Rotarian from the Rotary Club of Brisbane High-Rise.  He told us about the Challenges and Rewards of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery using a series of before and after pictures of his patients - here and overseas - over an extended period of time.  
 
Sergeant Deb pounced telling long tales about indiscretions past.
