Libby is a peer educator with COTA - Council on the Ageing
She talked about Planning Ahead in our lives
We all plan for the immediate and mid term, but our long term future is often missed
It's about staying in control, staying healthy and looking after our social life and finances
Arranging an Enduring Power of Attorney is an important part of that.
About half our members had a EPA in place, so the other half needs to take action
and the first half can't relax either as circumstances change
Libby related her own parents situation where her Dad died in his 70s but her Mum lived till 93
Her Mum didn't discuss what she wanted and her (secret) plan to live with Libby's brother fell apart
Libby left us with some information to take home
Judy thanked Libby
