Next Tuesday's Meeting

Murray Power started the Caloundra Film Festival in 2013.  With the support of the Sunshine Coast Regional Council, Screen Queensland and other partners it has grown significantly.  It runs over multiple locations over a 10 day period and includes a Features Programme, a Pop-up Cinema, a Student Showcase and this year a large open air opening night screening.
He has also had two productions for film and television produced: Stranded and Ella with writing and production credits for both.  Scripts and small screen shows in active development.  Producing a local documentary, Caloundra Goes to the Movies.

Murray will be presenting to us next Tuesday morning.

Changes ahead
In an endeavour to future-proof the club and make it more attractive to new members, two important changes have been addressed by the Board and members this past week.
Firstly, last Tuesday's Open Forum discussed the changes in Meeting Formats being introduced from 1 July.
Secondly, a new approach to members' annual dues is being introduced as President Peter has described in his separate email.
We encourage you to read on for the reasons for change and the details.

Learning about Rotary

To help club officers succeed in their role, some improvements have been made to the Learning Center. You can now find courses for all club officer roles and committee members. See how to find club officer courses below.

Early in the 2018-19 Rotary year, a completely redesigned Learning Center will be unveiled, featuring updated content and an easy-to-use layout.

Rotary Fellowships combine passion, friendship, and service
Rotary offers many opportunities to connect with others in your club and district who share similar passions. You also have many opportunities to connect with members globally.

Rotary Fellowships provide a great way to make new friends around the world and enhance your Rotary experience. The fellowships are international, independently organized groups of Rotarians, family members, program participants, and alumni who share a common passion. These groups range in interest from tennis to wine, marathon running to cooking, scuba diving to recreational vehicles, jazz to computers, and more.

Currently, Rotary International officially recognizes 78 Rotary Fellowships. The groups reported a combined membership of 82,218 people in more than 150 countries in 2016-17. View a list of all fellowships and join one today!

June is Rotary Fellowships Month. Read the Rotary Service blog to learn more about fellowship activities and service efforts.
