For many years - though a group of dedicated Rotarians - we have collected, stored, loaded and shipped hospital, medical educational equipment and goods to our island clubs and others from Donations in Kind (DIK) Through the generosity of the state government and others we have been able to operate from various properties for negligible costs. However as time goes by the owners of these properties have decided to redevelop or sell them and we have had to move. This has happened to our current 'home' and on 30 June 2018 we will vacate the current Durack property. Amongst other things this will deny some of our efforts to support the Islands with most needed resources for their communities. We are looking for a suitable location to transfer our operations, but at this stage we are closing down Donations in Kind, hopefully for only a short while. My sincere thanks to all the Clubs and regular workers that have supported DIK over the years lets hope we can get a new home soon |
