RACQ LifeFlight is the Sunshine Coast's own Helicopter Rescue Service.  It was previously known as CareFlight (QLD) Ltd.

inter-facility transfers the LifeFlight team of more than 400 staff members, including aviation crew, support staff, and over 100 doctors are a lifeline to vulnerable individuals.

Across Australia LifeFlight doctors attend to more than 10 patients a day.

David Woodrow is a member of the Rotary Club of Alexander Headland.  He is also a former school principal, and a retired training officer in the Army Reserve with the rank of Lt Colonel and served a short time in Vietnam.

He was awarded an OAM for his work in computer education and community service.
