Hi Sue! Hope this finds you well. It looks like i've just missed your weekly meeting.. I'm assisting Downtown Caloundra to run a Christmas event on Friday 3 Dec. There are street markets, a stage, face painting, a giant Christmas tree that will be lit up on dark and of course a visit from the big man in red! Location is Felicity Park & Bulcock Street. We are hoping to offer a crafty activity for the children from 4:30-7:30pm - and wondering if this is something that your club would be interested in arranging? I spoke with the wonderful Tash from the ArtHub in Caloundra and she had some excellent ideas on how to create a fun and effective activity. A few ideas included: 5-10min activity only, christmas deocrations are a winner, pre-made popsicle trees that kids decorate & attach a string, thick card cut-outs of stars or angels that kids decorate and attach a string, pine cones roll in glue then glitter and attach a string (ooo messy!), if using paint ensure it's quick drying, pencils/crayons/textas are good. Just a bit of an ideas dump there! Please let me know if you have some members who are interested in facilitating this activity. There is a 6x3m marquee and we can assist with budget for supplies. I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards Ange
