The club has organised an Electronic Waste disposal collection for at least a couple of years. The Rotary Club of Darwin Sunrise accepted an exchange student from Volta Redonda Rotary Club, who thought he could speak fluent American English, unfortunately it took him about a month before we could understand him. He stayed with our Gerry and his wife for four months in 1994. They visited him and his parents at Volta Redonda in1996, when they were put up in their four bedroom apartment, complete with servant, in Rio for a week while they attended a world orchid conference in Rio. |
