Hi Roger, Here is the letter from Chloé Mear, our exchange student from France in 2018. YIR Bernie
Dear everyone at Rotary Club of Caloundra,

I am deeply sorry it took me so long to write to you all. University has been a little crazy and I am now enjoying some fun and relaxing holidays.

I will be starting the second year of my degree in september before choosing a more select path for my third year, most likely in history and probably in Paris.

I have been involved with Rotary, hosting a young girl from NSW and giving a few presentations, as well as constantly wearing Rotary related clothes!

The pandemic has been a very particular situation but my family and I enjoyed spending time together and lockdown was not too hard. I miss Australia and Rotary and hope to see you as soon as possible. I have to say, I miss the weather too. I have become very difficult with temperature and cannot stand the cold anymore!

I hope your year has been full of projects, joy and excitement and that the pandemic did not hit you all too hard. I would love to know all about the things which happened at Rotary this year. I would have loved to participate to online meetings but my online school hours were very busy and time zone difference did not make things any easier.

Again I apologize for not contacting you sooner. I have thought about you a lot this year and cannot thank each and every one of you enough for the year you gave me last year, the best of my life.

Sending you all my love,

Chloé

(Hugs to Deb, Judy, Pam and Bernadette ❤)

Ps: Merv, how are the turtles?

PPs: Chris, I recently went to the pointe du Raz and thought of the time you asked me about it at my first meeting

PPPs: Roger, I cannot say I got better at surfing but I now love lighthouses!
