Just some relevant information from the District meeting I attended earlier in the week.
District Conference
So far 240 people booked in for the conference (200 Rotarians + 40 Partners). There is still accommodation available. The Saturday night dinner is booked out, but plenty of other eating places in town .The House of Friendship has over 30 exhibitors and (somewhere) if you register your name and your name is pulled out, your club will win a defibrillator to give away (not to put on your lounge wall!).

Insurance
If new members are not registered in My Rotary then they are not covered by Insurance (so please check your new members are registered).
Rotarians
29% of Rotarians on the SC are women
FYI – Council on Legislation voted to admit women to Rotary in 1989 – the process started in 1950 but was knocked back until it finally passed in 1989.
July 2010 – 16% of all Rotarians were women
July2020 – 23% of all Rotarians were women.
