Sorry I missed out on a spectacular meeting, feeling a bit under the weather, age catching up on me very fast. Richard has a lot of good stuff to tell, a font of lots of useful information.
I attended the 50th Anniversary of the TS Onslow Cadets at Golden Beach and checked out the new parade ground, sea wall and the opening of the boat ramp.
A nice dry parade ground no water in site except where it is meant to be. The boat ramp was named in honour of Dick Allchin, who served as the Commander of the Naval Cadets from 1982 - 1996 and looked after the Memorial Walkway at the headland, Kings Beach.
Hank the bulldog is pictured in the photos and is the official mascot for the Aussie Destroyer HMAS Brisbane. Check out more about Hank here #lifeofhankthebulldog
The Mural features the AHS Centaur as its central feature, brilliant work by local artist, Steven Bordonaro who has some works on the odd wall in Caloundra.
