Rino Canto was our guest speaker this morning.  He is General Manager of the Opal Aged Care home at Birtinya.  He and Customer Services Manager, Pam spoke warmly about the home and its well-appointed facilities.  While many of us have no desire to become a resident, the hotel like nature of the property could be an appealing enticement.  Invitations were issued to some and politely declined.  There are 147 residents (including our Norm) and 109 staff.  Bernie asked whether Opal would be interested in our embryonic headphone project for those suffering from dementia.  There were many other questions from our members and guests.

Les welcomed visitors, Sally, Irish, and Ken as well as our speakers - and Honorary Member Keith.  In particular, Ken was farewelled back to cold Morwell, Victoria after eight weeks with us on the Sunshine Coast.  Ken promised to return next year.

Past Governor, Alan found sufficient information (he was handicapped with internet issues) about the Rotary Club of Casablanca, Morocco which was the subject of our International Toast.
