We had more than twenty members for our second Zoom meeting
Thanks again Mark for organizing this, and congratulations for taking out the "Best Background" prize
We knew you could add virtual backgrounds to Zoom, and we loved the waves breaking behind you.

But you went one better managing to set up the virtual suit and tie
(I couldn't find anything about this on the Zoom instructions)
Of course, we were all wondering what you were really wearing

Bernie gave the President's Address, and welcomed special guest ADG Wendy

  • We have given a $500 gift voucher to Dove Cottage for their garden project
  • Keep those stories coming in
  • Virus story - not nice if you get it
Due to Easter, the next Reel will be published on 17th April
Mark sent through the audio file and I've added it as a download file
(I had to trim the beginning so it was small enough to upload)

You can see all the photos here

Directors
  • Deborah - Email to Dove Cottage
  • Gordon - still chasing two Golf Day sponsors
  • Janes - Alan and Win well
  • Mark - Two trailer registrations to pay - guessing one is for RYDA
Mark presented a Powerpoint of the Philippines Projects
It included information about our Club and its other projects too
See the link to the Photo Album above

ADG Wendy gave us a run down of what's (not) happening in the District

  • No RYDA, no Changeover dinners
  • NYSF applications close 31st May, but its future is uncertain
  • Hopefully PE Training will be electronic
  • No Combined Dinner at USC, but the scholarships can still be given
  • (and a gentle reminder to make our donation to RUSCCF)
  • All clubs are on line, and there are opportunities to join other meetings
  • The TED talks on line are recommended for bordom busting

Unfortunately our forty minute time limit finished before Sgt Merv could do his worst

And if you didn't believe my background was actually our bathroom
This link is to our place on the sunshinecoastplaces website
At the bottom of the page (which records some history of our house)
you can have fun getting the 3D models working

And yes Gerry, it's a kiwi-kangaroo - artwork from Reg Mombassa from Mambo fame

There was an article about using Zoom in the Sunshine Coast Daily
