ANZAC Day
Dear Roger,
Given the general feedback at last week's Zoom, and the general call for copy to put in The Reel, I attach two photos of our shrine on the early morning of the 25th April and invite others to add their memories/photos etc. Glen and I (and our neighbours) thought the personal celebration approach was entirely appropriate when combined with the radio broadcast of the minimal participant service from Canberra War Memorial.

Perhaps the 2020 event showed each type of participation (local vs community gathering) creates lasting memories as do major gatherings such as one at Kings Beach. The latter also have their place but both forms of remembrance service have their place. Pity it took a pandemic to rediscover this option.

Best wishes
Chris M
Hi everyone
I was snooping at the shed today and took some photos of a part of history from our club.
If speaker from Uni is coming there's the photo of plague the club received for donations $10,000.
Bernie I assume you have the Rotary Collar ( Is that what it's called) projector and laptop from Chris ?
If you want to use any of these photos and need them larger just let me know.
Cheers
Judy
I found a few books also there's an International Book with a few pics e.g.. Mt Isa Rodeo which started 1959 plus the Fairstar cruise ship in Cairns being loaded with books bound for Fiji from RC Cairns
