Sir Clem attended our Club's 50th anniversary meeting at Ben Bennett Park
Ben was out inaugural President
He and Clem were good friends, and Clem's Nambour Club was our "Mother" Club
Our District can boast two RI Presidents, Clem and Glen Kinross
As the 1978/79 President, Clem instigated the End Polio campaign
Main points from Bernie's address were:
  • Thanks to Mark and Irish for the Zoom technology which kept our meetings alive during the lockdown
  • PE James is at Cania Gorge
  • The District Govenor and AG's will continue Zoom meetings for this year every fortnight
  • District Assembly will be at Surfair, Marcoola
  • Virtual RUSCCF meeting 24 June -Don't forget the raffle
  • ARH donations by 29th June
  • 12th June District meeting passed the budget
  • 27 June District changeover on Zoom - Darryl's replacement will be Neil Black - he will visit our Club on 17th Nov
  • Paddington Zoom meeting with with RI President Mark Maloney
  • 2021 Centenary of Rotary in Australia
  • $1300 from our raffle to fund Bohol project
  • Bernie presented Patrick with his membership certificate

Pam introduced Patrick, our newest member, who spoke about his life
 
Patrick was born in Kilcoy, and recounted a Yowie sighting as a ten year old
He grew up in Woodford, then Bundaberg, where he went to school in the supernatural presence of Gerry's school days there (and survived)
He did surf lifesaving, and played Rugby League
He started his working life as a chef, but transitioned to real estate sales in Strathpine
He and partner Trish have two daughters
He currently works managing construction tenders
