Stephen introduced Alison and Marion, who spoke about their RAWCS project in Zambia
that's Rotary Australia World Community Service
They have funded and initiated a school in a poor area
They started with 50 primary students in 2012 - now 27 are in high school and there are 4 scholarships to boarding schools
It makes "such a difference" in an environment where 55,000 people are crammed into a 5 Ha township
70 children are given an education, but 1500 indirectly benefit
The P&C gets 100% attendance and there are adult literacy classes
Casey Chambers has been enlisted as an ambassador - she visited the school and we heard the song in which sh included the "naturally talented" schoolchildren

The day netted around $10K with the raffle raising $1.8K - $4K to junior golf
