Sergeant Richard welcomed President Deborah to the podium
Thanks for the photos Richard

Eye eye sir

Deborah noted that our Red Shield appeal had reached $320, and we resolved to up it to $500.

Les Pontin received $160 in cash for his camping out for the homeless, and with another $20 we upped it to a round $250.

The Golf Club looks like the best bet for Changeover - a Friday night would be best.

And it was already ring ring ringing of the Bell from Sergeant Richard.

$10,000 donated from Merv and Anne is off to the Rotary Foundation. We will find out about the best appropriate Paul Harris Fellowship acknowledgement to add to his large collection.

Dave -  thanks for our good thoughts regarding Robyn's Dad's passing.

Sequence of guest speakers etc. – paper form if on desk.
iPad.
Square – “freebie”, or $1400 a year for a more advanced "like a shop" system.

Discussion around the best way to donate for the Flood Appeal.

Derek noted that Rotary and World Community Service for RAWCS was not "specifically for Queensland"– Combined Western Queensland Flood Appeal between Dists 9520 and 9560 (north of Maryborough) mentioned.

Phases

1 - 250/$500 debit cards.
2 - Donated goods - RARE was DIK
3 -  mental health counselling - Givit & NPO.

Elaine - The larger the organisation to more time it takes to get it where it’s needed. Country Women's Association and Salvation Army get it where it needs to go.

Deborah – tomorrow’s Scone Time at CWA.

Back to Dave, and how it all works.

Everyone in the room has to tap even if they have paid online.
The square takes 1.9%.
Tap" +"
If you muck up:
1 -Slide sideways and delete summary
2 - Run out screaming back out the door and jump in the pool (but only if after seven apparently)
3 - Don’t tap your face a second time
Money Manager is the accounting application we pay for.

Sergeant Richard gave us a talk on Riviera Yachts.
He was at the boat show on the weekend.
Accommodation is $1700 a night or three nights for $320 – which would you pick?
Intercontinental.
Bugatti and other exotic car brands in the car park.
Riviera Yachts – his son-in-law does work for them.
The Coomera factory takes 16 ha and employs between 950 & 1000 people each day – they have their own TAFE on the premises.
New Zealanders are the biggest buyers.
You can get something for 1.2 million, but you really need 7 to 10 for an average yacht.
