Interesting to hear about your project
I’ll put it out to our members to gauge interest
Hi Roger,

This message came through our facebook page.

Deb

Good Afternoon President Todd I have recently been selected – again to be the Publicity Officer for a not for profit charity called Projected Vietnam Inc based here on the Sunshine Coast for 35 years carrying out humanitarian aid to South East Asian countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

My main aim is to raise the profile, memberships and partnerships.

I am seeking assistance of a partnership to produce a brochure, banner, or donate school books, clothes to children in Cambodia and Laos.

You can view our website projectvietnam.com and our face book page to give you an overall idea of what we have been achieving and wish to continue to do so.

I think if you go to the website and read

Who are We?
What do we do

What appealed to my husband I in 2012 when we originally joined is that no one is paid to undertake any role nor are there any overheads.

Our monthly meetings are sponsored by the Alex Surf Club as we have no office and all members carry out their individual roles like myself from home.

You will see our members volunteering at the Eumundi markets and at the Ironman and Noosa Sporting events throughout the year as we receive no government funding.

I feel we are quite unique in the way we do things in the poorer nations, firstly by raising the funds here in Australia and utilising those funds in a way that no other NGO does.

All memberships and donation are 100% directly reinvested into the 3 countries.

Our members travel to Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos in small teams each and every year usually for 2 weeks in each country to improve living conditions. Am proud to say we pay for our own flights, insurance, accommodation and each volunteer donates $200.00 towards the building fund.

Providing support to these less fortunate in remote communities will give them a more productive life in time to come.

Building Projects include, schools, health centres, kindergartens, orphanages, small houses, drinking and toilet water systems. Also, school scholarships.

Other Activities are scholarships, bursaries for trainee dental technicians and nurse's.
Donation of medical equipment to hospitals and medical centres.

Micro Financing
The June Canavan Foundation has been donating money to the people of Vietnam for about 20 years or so, the Foundation over the past 3 – 4 years have expressed a wish to micro finance families who live in extremely poor and remote villages.

We are very much a grass roots charity but the projects we undertake are simple to us but immensely important to the families in the villages.

If you are able to assist by raising our profile, increase memberships and donations this would be appreciated.

Happy to receive your phone call.

Kindest

Claire Simpson
