Sam is a local dad, husband, chiropractor and founder of The Grab Life By The Balls movement.
Grab Life By The Balls was created to combat the horrific men’s mental health stats. As the name suggests, rather than waiting for things to go pear shaped Sam felt a proactive, yet laid back, approach was necessary.
Grab Life By The Balls has been running laid back events, such a burger nights and Friday morning bacon and eggs down the beach since November 2016. The emphasis of these events is creating a movement centred around mateship, a simple yet effective way to combat the stats around men’s mental health.
President of the Inner Wheel Club of Sunshine Coast, Meg Nagel was our guest speaker this morning.
Inner Wheel allows around 3,000 dedicated women in Australia to share their friendship and passion for community service and take action for lasting change, but it is an international organisation established in 1924 and launched in Australia not long after.
Meg presented a potted history of Inner Wheel and outlined two main projects - the provision of birthing kits and raising funds for Cord Bank Research (a national project).

Please join us for an hour or two on the river banks or on your watercraft (kayak, canoe, SUP board) to help make a difference in our community and our planet! This is an opportunity to also promote Rotary awareness, so join us please.
When we reach our goal, polio will become only the second human disease eradicated on the planet, and Rotary will receive international acclaim. But what matters most is the children who will never again have to face this terrible, disabling virus. Rotary must continue to connect the world in the effort toward polio eradication. It is up to us. Let us finish the job.
When we talk about PolioPlus, we know we are eradicating polio, but do we realize how many added benefits the program brings? The “plus” is something else that is provided as a part of the polio eradication campaign. It might be a hand-operated tricycle, access to clean water and additional medical treatment, or providing bed nets or soap. Learn how we are doing so much more than eradicating polio.
