A few words from President Bernie

Firstly I would like to wish you all my Friends and Fellow Rotarians a very Happy and Safe Easter.  If you are spending this special time with family and or friends make the most of this time, as you don’t know what tomorrow may bring.

I will make this short but I would like to sincerely thank Les for the excellent planning in putting together our new Constitution.  With the help of Merv, Chris and Mark and Jerry it all came together very well.  The new Constitution was put to the Club members formally on Tuesday 16th April.  The Club did have a Quorum after discussion it was passed.  Les has passed on all relevant details and paperwork to Andrew Best, Club and District Support Rotary International so that the records will be updated.

Just a reminder that our Vocational Visit is Tuesday 23rd April , to be held at the Centaur Memorial 6.30am for a 7am start.  Please let Sir Darryl know if you are attending as he does need the numbers for catering purposes.  It may be an idea to bring a folding chair.

Please keep in mind to promote the Children’s Photographic Competition which Closes on the 3rd May and also Rachael has asked  the Club to be involved in the Toowoomba to Mooloolaba Bike Ride TOOMOO on the 4th May.  It will be a money earner and we are asked to cook approximately 150 burgers and serve soft drinks.  Timing wise will be from approximately 2.30pm to 6pm.  It was voted at the club meeting that we go ahead with the BBQ and I am hoping that we can get enough support from you our members to make it another funfilled, fellowship afternoon and show our colours supporting our Community.

Have a wonderful weekend.
