Yolanda Dasgupta is a Rotary Peace Fellow Alumna and graduated from Science Po in Paris in 2005. Originally from Mackay has been living on the Sunshine Coast for two years with Husband Raja, from the UK and two children ages 3 and 9 months after living in various countries on the African continent for the previous 6 years. Yolanda is an emergency management and coordination specialist, and this has seen her work on responding to over 30 disasters, both local and international (2006 Cyclone Larry, 2010 Haiti, 2011 Qld Floods, Cyclone Yasi and Christchurch earthquake), but has most recently worked for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs assisting countries in Eastern and Southern Africa prepare for and respond to disasters. She is currently volunteering for Australian Parents for Climate Action.
Mark Davis has spent the past 11 years working at The Sunshine Coast Daily. He is a Media Sales Consultant. Mark moved from Tasmania to the Coast with his wife Bev so that she could closer to her Mum and Dad. They brought their youngest son with them and their other son lived here already. They spent 20 years working in the family business. Mark has recently nominated to stand in Division 1 for the S/C Regional Council local Government Elections.
