Rotary Sensory Play Area at Currimundi
This project at Currimundi is designed to improve the play experience for children, particularly those on the autism spectrum who often have heightened sensory issues.  The key advantage of a sensory area is that all children regardless of ability can benefit from the experience.

Bio Toilets in India

Bhubaneswar is the capital of the Indian state of Odisha.  It is the largest city in Odisha and is a centre of economic and religious importance in Eastern India.  Bhubaneswar is often referred to as a "Temple City of India".
But ..... there are 338 unauthorised slums in Bhubaneswar  - many households do not have toilets and a few who have sanitary toilets have no drainage, water and maintenance facilities!!
Caloundra Rotary - in conjunction with others - has received approval by The Rotary Foundation for a Global Grant to provide the major part of the US$31,500  project cost to provide 40 bio toilets in 10 urban slums.
Rotary International President Elect, Mark Maloney handed over the first of the 10 slums to receive the bio-toilets on 20 February 2019.  The project will be completed by the end of March with all 10 slums being provided with safe, clean bio-toilets.
Funding by the Rotary Club of Caloundra US$5,250
