I have only just realised that on 23 February, Rotary will be in its 114th year.  It would be a great idea to maybe wear our Rotary shirts to our Tuesday meeting.  It may be a little late but we will be promoting the Club on a hole at our upcoming Golf day so we can class that as a Rotary Days event.  This will give the Club the chance to engage in the community, and hopefully build long-term, local partnerships, and share the significant impact that Rotary has both locally and also globally.  I would like to take photos so that it can be shared online especially for our upcoming District Conference.
World Rotaract Week, 11-17 March.  It would be prudent of the Club to send an Invitation to the Sunshine Coast Rotaract Club for our meeting on the 12th March and ask the speaker to bring our Club up to date on what they have been actively doing in the community.

The Rotary Peace Fellowship Application is now available.  Maybe there is a suitable group of leaders in our Community who are experienced in global peace and development out there.

As you are aware President Elect Chris and his team have been in talks with the Council as there will be quite a bit of consulting to determine what will be needed for our upcoming project to create an All-Abilities playground in the Grahame Stewart Park at Currimundi.  If you have not been there it is worthwhile to go have take a look.  The facilities there are very good and hopefully with the grants and fundraising it will be a first class facility for children of all abilities to use.

Please don’t forget the District Conference commencing on 22 March.  But before that is our very own Bunnings BBQ which is happening on 27 February.  If you can give a hand please don’t hesitate to contact Judy.

I wish you all an excellent week.
