We cordially invite you to Class XVI Rotary Peace Fellows' Peace Seminar on April 13, 2013, from 10 am to 6:30 pm at The Women's College, University of Queensland, St. Lucia. The Peace Seminar provides a space for Rotarians, academics, and learners to centre their understanding of and contributions to peace and conflict resolution. This year's theme, "Everyday Peace: Processes, Perspectives, and Potential," recognises peace as a continuing, dynamic, and multidimensional process, rather than a separate event or outcome.

Through the seminar, the Peace Fellows will share their experiences and explore how building sustainable peace is possible through everyday practices. The Fellows presenting at this event are nearing the completion of their M.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies. The presentations draw significantly from their studies and from the Applied Fieldwork Experience they undertook over the summer break.

This event is a vital component of the Peace Fellows' activities in the Rotary Peace Centre at UQ. It is a platform for our peace scholars to share their experiences and the journey they have embarked on both as learners and practitioners. It is likewise the University’s way of thanking Rotary for its contributions, support for, and funding of the Peace Fellowship Program.
