Congratulations to ARH Mental Health Grant recipient, Dr Amy Finlay-Jones!

Amy has received the Julie Bishop Award which makes $50,000 available to a female early or mid-career researcher over two years, together with mentoring support from Ms Bishop. 

Dr Marlee Bower was previously awarded an Ian Scott PhD Scholarship by Australian Rotary Health from 2014-2017.

The Rotary Club of South Launceston and Australian Rotary Health (ARH) District Committee hosted an ARH Research Dinner recently at Launceston Golf Club.

Speakers included ARH Chairman Kevin Shadbolt OAM and two PhD Scholars under our Funding Partner PhD program - Laura Grattidge (nee Smith) (sponsored by Rotary Club of Deloraine) and Jason Palazzolo (sponsored by Rotary District 9830).

Laura spoke about her research into suicide prevention in Tasmania. While Jason Palazzolo outlined his research into new treatments for stroke patients.

It's always a pleasure to hear about the work of our funded researchers! 

Last week, ARH District 9810 Chair Glenn Tippett presented Gonny Rundell from the Rotary Club of Boronia with an Australian Rotary Health Companion Award for her long term commitment to and support of ARH.
