The beneficiaries of our fundraising include:
  • Australian Rotary Health - Australian Rotary Health is one of the largest independent funders of mental health research within Australia.  It also provides funding into a broad range of general health areas, provides scholarships for rural medical and nursing students, as well as Indigenous health students. Australian Rotary Health provides funding into areas of health that do not readily attract funding, and promotes findings to the community.  Australian Rotary Health is supported by a number of Rotary Clubs in Australia. We have a broad vision to improve the health and wellbeing of all Australians.
  • Caloundra High School - Garage for Lighthouse Centre - The Lighthouse Centre offers support for students with a disability.  Within each program area the curriculum is planned and implemented to meet student needs as defined by Individual Education Plans.  This project involved providing a garage for the Centre's bus.
  • Road Safety Education - RYDA - The Caloundra Road Safety Education program is a joint effort of four Rotary clubs in the area – the Rotary Clubs of Caloundra, Caloundra Pacific, Glasshouse Mountains, and Kawana Waters.  These Rotary Clubs present the RYDA program to 16-18 year old students who are approaching that crucial time in their lives where they start to drive independently or are travelling as passengers of novice drivers.  The RYDA program is supplied by Road Safety Education and delivered by Rotary Clubs throughout Australia & New Zealand.
  • Rotary Oceania Overseas Aid for Children - ROMAC is a Rotary project providing medical treatment for children from developing  countries in the form of lifesaving and/or dignity restoring surgery not accessible to them in their home country
  • ShelterBox Australia - ShelterBox is a Rotary partner organisation that responds instantly to natural and man-made disasters by delivering boxes of aid to those who are most in need
  • STEMM - Supporting Teenagers with Education, Mothering and Mentoring program: Instead of attending mainstream classes, the STEMM curriculum provides a program tailored around the teenagers educational, social, physical and emotional needs in a non-judgmental environment. The program currently has 40 girls participating in this unique educational avenue.
  • SunnyKids - The Sunshine Coast community alone identifies 5,000 at risk children every year. In response SunnyKids provides thousands of nights of emergency accommodation, and we partner with health, education and child protection agencies to keep these kids safe.
  • Tales from a Dilly BagTales from a Dilly Bag is a Rotary literacy project designed to assist young Indigenous children and their classmates develop emergent literacy skills and understandings. Rotary clubs and other interested sponsors can be direct supporters of the Tales from a Dilly Bag project by purchasing a literacy kit and sponsoring a class in an early childhood centre or school
