Youth Service recognises the importance of empowering youth and young professionals through leadership development programs such as RotaractInteractRotary Youth Leadership Awards, and Rotary Youth Exchange.
 
The club is presently engaged with the following projects/organisations:
 
  • RYLA : the club is pleased to sponsor young adults 18 -27 years to the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards - a one-week leadership training seminar
  • RYPEN :The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment aims to provide young people with the opportunity to develop their potential and self-esteem, provide experiences that will assist them to form their own values and moral standards, and to broaden their cultural, social and academic horizons.  The program will push students to develop their leadership skills so that they can excel in their field.
  • NYSF : The National Youth Science Forum has been operating for over 30 years and its aim is to encourage young Australians to be the next generation of leading scientists, engineers and mathematics experts supporting a sustainable future for our nation.  Students moving into Year 12 who wish to follow careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics are introduced to research and researchers and encouraged to achieve excellence in their undertakings by helping to develop their communication and interpersonal skills.
  • RYDA : The RYDA road safety education program is delivered to local High School students by the Rotary Club of Caloundra as part of the Caloundra Road Safety Education program which is a joint effort of three Rotary clubs in the area – the Rotary Clubs of Caloundra, Caloundra Pacific, and Glasshouse Mountains.  The program is presented to 16-18 year old students who are approaching that crucial time in their lives where they start to drive independently or are travelling as passengers of novice drivers.  Discover more here
  • Rotary Youth Exchange : Rotary Youth Exchange provides thousands of young people with the opportunity to experience people and other cultures and promote international understanding and peace.  It's purpose is to build bridges of friendship and understanding among people of the world.  We accomplish this by providing opportunities for high school students to live for a year in a foreign country and learn to assimilate into the country’s culture and language.
